Instead of filling it with sand, just stick the fittings with a balltap valve on each end, and use water. Water, like sand, dosnt compress.
this is awesome!!!!
60c after an hour is horrible efficiency!
Duh
Should sleeve the outside with steel and fill it with sand instead of exhaust wrap. Sand is great and holding and distributing heat. Also the compression fittings need to be lubed with Vaseline to really work correctly.
I think to make this quicker we can use a 2L bottle with this same principle.
How about putting the coil of copper inside the exhaust? Be more efficient for sure.
The 12 year old in me wants to listen to 😂every 5 seconds. If you need a longer pole, this one only goes in 1” I’ll grow up some day 😂
The gigabong
I've delved a bit into this for heating an outside spa. One problem I found with having the copper pipe directly over the flame is after a few times it builds up a layer of soot over the pipe with makes it harder to heat in the long run
hack job it wont heat up the water with out a pump to circulate
Not true at all. Google thermal siphoning
Tig weld this. If you use TIG, you can use thinner materials. Use a nickel based metal like inconel. Stainless steel rusts and doesn’t hold up well to the elements. Inconel can withstand higher temperatures for longer and you can leave it in saltwater and it won’t rust. Copper works great but if you’ve got the money, use titanium tube. It’s more difficult to shape but I made a titanium heat exchanger back in the day for a laser weapon and it’s amazing. You can find scrap inconel and titanium at aerospace companies. I work in aerospace and occasionally we give our metal away.
Con cuatro palos calienta 20 lts a más de 100⁰c. No cuadra!!! Falso, totalmente falso.
This is 60c
Why does it look like Dickbutt?
Ppl are mentioning an outside sleeve.. what about a ceramic blanket *Jacket* w buttons that you can easily remove
We have 20 feet of half inch CO...pper
..BUT GOOD!YOU# ;)
*Why u guys use F. Please use international measurement... Celcius...*

Brilliant
🎉
I realy like both, but a version needed with pallets, they are cheaper here than wood
I counted all the mosquitoes and its exact 100 lol 😂
What about a Kelly Kettle but made out of a real water heater
Wrap entire thing with wool insulation
can you tell me how is water transported from bucket through copper pipe😂
Colder water falls to the bottom and Heat makes the water rise through the coil back to the top of the reservoir
Can’t or really shouldn’t use compression fitting on soft copper, it’s to soft and won’t allow the compression ring to properly squeeze against the copper, if you really want to use compression fitting you need to sweat a coupler and a ridged piece of copper first, then install the compression fitting.
I had a bad experience with an Anker solar power pack. I had charged.for about a year I used it once now it doesn't charge at all by sun or usb. It's junk. I paid almost $50 bucks for one time use. I am not impressed.
2nd set up will heat up the water faster
Looks pretty lame 🤷. You were thinking it too.
Your mom
@@PatrickRemington - Look I think it's awesome that RUclipsrs try all kinds of projects and share their results. Sometimes those projects are good ideas and sometimes they aren't. You still provided entertainment, but i'm not going to pretend this is an improved design over existing commercially available shower bags. They run on gravity and are smaller/lighterweight to transport. How is this the "Best portable shower"?
I don't get it. Why would you feed the output directly back into the input? There is a small amount of (I presume) very hot water that comes out and now goes back in to the colder water, heating that greater mass of water a little bit, while losing most of its elevated temperature. If you wanted to quickly heat water for usability, wouldn't you collect the water that comes out in a well isolated separate container and use it once you've got enough to make whatever you wanted to make with it or route it back to the cold tank or the input, rather than heating the whole cold tank? I don't care to know how long that barrel of water took to get to a certain temperature, I want to know how long it would take to make tea/coffee or take a shower. What's the flow rate necessary to get to a certain temperature?
La manguera no se desase
*OR,,,,,YOU CAN MAKE THE BUCKET METAL AND PUT IT OVER THE FLAME SINCE MOST OF THE HEAT IS GETTING BLOWN OUT THE TOP.* 😂😂
You can cook over the flame while it heats the water
I went through the cap also so it can be moved from can to can and cut the retention ring off of it.. also bought a black can that works great for a nice warm shower.
I feel like you would have had better results with a 40’ coil. Could be wrong. Just felt like when you measured temps above where the coil ends you were losing a lot of heat exchange potential.
Very clever!😊
I’m very interested, I’d like to know how much you sell them💰 and if you can ship 📦 to Mexico 🇲🇽 🙏🏼🙌🏼🙏🏼
How much do you sell them? 😬 I’m from Mexico 🇲🇽
Me thinking "wait a second, water should not get warmer than 100 degrees, what's this guy doing?" Always me: "ok forgot that bro using medieval unit of measure"
really good.. make a bigger one to be able to put even a whole pickup tire in to!
20 feet?!?!?!? Of coil?!
20!!
Swap them around
I had an intention to add a system to my would stove. However I was going to use a radiator. But now I can use a bucket instead and eliminate the pump. It would be good instead of waking up at night and add wood.
we use in Portugal for past 70 years or more
Shouldn't the coil be inside the tube? You're losing much of the heat straight out the top.
I do have a build like that if you go to my videos
Use the open flame, so much waste thermal energy.
Awesome
Very interesting video. It's great you were honest with the results. I'm thinking about adding something like this to my HWS so that when the grid is down, I can still have hot water. 👍
Outstanding !
"I am very strong" lol calm down Pat. Good build.
